Who it's for
Cold stores, packers and apple, peach and plum growers in Kakheti (Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Telavi) and Shida Kartli (Gori).
The problem
When storage is short, growers sell early and cheap: FreshPlaza reports that “growers are frequently required to sell fruit soon after harvest, often at lower prices”. Peaches “lose commercial appearance rapidly after picking”, and Kakheti farmgate prices fell sharply this year (FreshPlaza, 2026).
What Bio Shield is building
A plant-based, water-soluble coating powder designed to slow mould and spoilage in storage and long transit. It goes into the water you already use, so no new machines are needed. We are talking to cold stores now about pilots in summer 2027.
